Hi all,
I was told by a fairly reputable Borgault tech specialist that I can import prescriptions when it’s plugged into a 110v outlet. I picked up an X35 from one of my clients and I’m having no luck. Is there something deep in the settings I need to enable for the monitor to receive prescriptions in this state? Or, does it actually need to be hooked up in his tractor/drill?

Jack,
I will neither confirm or deny that it will work without being hooked to controller? I would suspect that it should still see the SHP files with out the controller being connected? Most likely not be able to load them?
My instructions have been that you need to put the SHP / SHX / DBF files into a “VRC” folder on the root of the USB drive. I will email you the instructions I have. This is the same data that is in the Training Data set and that I am emailing to you.

replied 3 years ago Thanks for the response, Kelly. I’ve put a lot of prescriptions on these monitors, and I know I have my file structure correct. When creating a new job in the X35 for 2023’s work, it grays out my VRC option where I can bring in data from my flash drive. I’m going to reach out to some Borgault folks tomorrow and see if I can get this resolved and I’ll post my findings. All I know right now is that Borgault/Topcon should take some notes from JD or Raven on importing Rx files.
Jack, I am guessing they will say you need to be hooked to the controller. Most controllers do strange things when there is no GPS or no Controller. Find out if there are options for Unlocks that may cause problems also? Best of luck.

replied 3 years ago After doing some more digging, the monitor basically requires a GPS connection in order to assign Rx’s to fields and tanks. So, if you have an AC adapter laying around a globe you can hook up to an X30/X35, go crazy. Otherwise, you’ll be working on them in the tractor cab.
Thanks much for the info. I have found the x30 & x35 to be good monitors and do good work. As with all technology, finding / having support. Glad you got things figured out. Really appreciate the update!
