I always like the file going into the monitor to contain the field name or legal description, the product(s), the year, and sometimes the rate multiplier (I’m doing a fair amount of split Rx applications). However, I end up with file names that can get really long. I’d just like to see some feedback on how any similar ADMS users name their files in a neat, tidy way. Thanks!
I was always told to keep my file names under 12 characters or so to be safe with any controller. To offset this, I think a PDF of the Rx maps is a way to give the additional information associated with the Rx so that you have something to reference in the future. It has a notes section that can be used to put a lot of information in also. For me, I\’m just worried about the right Rx getting used in the correct field. So, I use a field name if it\’s going to the Grower and a legal description if it\’s going to the Coop as a rule of thumb. I\’m sure there\’s better ways of doing it. This is just what I do and the reasoning behind it.
