Upon starting ADMS, it goes directly to this error – “Access to Path ‘C:\ProgramData\GK Technology, Inc\ADMS\GKADVUL.BIN’ is denied.
Make sure all the instances of ADMS are closed.
Open Windows File Explorer & go to C:\ProgramData\ & Delete the “GK Technology, Inc” folder
- NOTE: you may have to go to “View” & Check the box “Show Hidden” at the top of your windows file folder explorer.
This will delete all your Settings and Unlocks for ADMS. You will need to contact ch****@*******nc.com sending her your system ID. This can be found by opening ADMS and going to “Tools” and “Enable Options” and there is the “System ID”, email Cheryl your information.
- Email should include the “System ID”, your name, your business name, phone # and a short explanation of what happened.
Also, you will need to go the “Settings” button and go through all the settings. Checking your “data locations’, “user interface” and “user interface 2” settings.

Basically what happened is either your Anti-Virus or Windows reset the permissions on the folder and files inside it. Usually if it reset the GKADVUL.BIN and locked it. Resetting the permissions is a 50/50 deal. Deleting and letting the software rewrite is the correct answer.
